MEDICAL BENEFITS IN BRITAIN
CHEMISTS PROTEST TO GOVERNMENT
(Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 5. The Pharmaceutical Society Council, representing 26,000 chemists in Britain, has sent a letter to the Prime Minister (Mr Attlee) protesting against the Is charge tor national health service prescriptions. The protest said: “The charge will not deter to any serious extent those whb are misusing the service, but will be prejudicial to the use of the serv>c« by persons in need of medical attention."
