OFFICIAL FORECASTS "The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON, Nov. 6. The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Situation: there are depressions east of the North Island. A wedge of high pressure is over the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m.: moderate southerly winds. Weather cloudy, with scattered drizzle about and north of Banks Peninsula* but becoming fair elsewhere. Temperatures cool. Outlook: mainly fair. WEST COAST The following is the forecast for the West Coast of the South Island:— Moderate easterlies. Weather fair. Temperatures cool.
