SALVATION ARMY
FAREWELL TO COLONEL G. H. MARSHALL
The Salvation Army in Christchurch during the week-end held services and meetings to farewell Colonel G. H. Marshall who for the last two years has been assistant secretary of the Army in New Zealand. Colonel Marshall will sail on the Aorangi soon for San Francisco, where he will be chief secretary of the western territory of the United States. The farewell meetings included a music festival in the Citadel on Saturday evening, a service at Linwood yesterday morning, and a meeting at Sydenham in the afternoon. Colonel Marshall will be replaced by Colonel C. Dunucr., who is at present field secretary of the Eastern Australian territory, and who is expected to arrive in New Zealand early next month.
