SHEFFIELD SHIELD MATCH
(Rec. 7.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. Nov. 6. Fortunes changed rapidly in the Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and Western Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. New South Wales escaped disaster with a first innings lead of 12 runs only, to face a struggle in the second innings against the off-spin bowling of the veteran, C. Puckett. After Miller was dismissed for 24. the left-hander Yeates made a forceful 45 not out in 45 minutes.
