Man Injured by Dead Shark
A resident of Orua Bay, at the southern end of Manukau Harbour, was injured by a dead shark. He had caught the fish, some six feet long, when fishing from a boat. ’Later he was stringing it up from the branch of a tree or. shore when it slipped through his hands and the sharp teeth ripped along his arm. He was driven 26 miles to the nearest doctor, who put six stitches in the wound.
