The North Australian Cement Ltd., are erecting at Stuart, Townsville, Queensland, a wet process cement works capacity 60,000 tons per annum. These works are being erected under the supervision of The Queensland Cement and Lime Co. Ltd., who are extending their works at Darra, near Brisbane, by the installation of a kiln and ancillary equipment capacity 100,000 tons of cement per annum. The North Australian Cement Ltd. require a Manager for their cement works in Townsville in about three years from this date and for that three years the Queensland Cement and Lime Co. Ltd. require a construction manager to have the responsibility of the construction work at Townsville and to assist in the extension of the works at Darra. Applications are required from persons qualified to supervise the erection and later manage such a works, which will include a Mmestone quarry. The successful applicant will, it is expected, reside in Brisbane for 3 years and after that in Townsville. Applications stating age, marital state, and giving full particulars of qualifications and experience and accompanied by copies of testimonials and a recent photograph are to be forwarded to The Manager, Queensland Cement and Lime Co. Ltd., Darra, Queensland, before January Ist, 1950.
