WATERSIDERS’ UNION SECRETARY
MR R. E. JONES NOMINATED BY AUCKLAND BRANCH
(New Zealand Press Association.) AUCKLAND. October 14. Mr R. E. Jones, secretary of the Auckland branch of the Waterside Workers' Union, has been endorsed by the branch as nominee for the secretaryship of the national union. For several terms the branch, the largest in New Zealand, has endorsed the nomination of the present national secretary. Mr T. Hill, of Wellington. ’ Mr Jones has been Auckland secretary for four years. Mr H. Barnes, the Auckland president. has been renominated by the branch for the fourth successive term as Dominion president.
