OBITUARY
MR H. G. BRADLEY Mr Harold Gladstone Bradley died on Thursday at his home in Kiimore street at the age of 71. He was one of the founders of the firm of Bradley Bros., Ltd. He was born in England but came to Christcnurch in 1880 at the age of three. With his two brothers he founded the firm in 1895. Mr Bradley was president of the Canterbury Manufacturers' Association in 1929 ano was for many years a member of the association’s council. He was also chairman of the executive for one New Zealand Industries Fair. In 1899 he won a scholarship in art and design work in a competition held by the Manufacturers’ Association. Mr Bradley was a member of the executive of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce and also a past master of the United Forces Masonic Lodge. About 1929 he was appointed a Justice of the Peace. He was a keen bowler and was president of the Canterbury Bowling Club. . Mr Bradley’s wife .died in 1933. He is survived by one son. Mr John Bradley (Christchurch), and two daughters. Mesdames F. Curtis (Christchurch) and L. C. Lindley (Greymouth).
