Notice to ask the Minister of Finance <Mr Nash) ; f the Government hrs entered into an exchange agreement co-ordinating the New Zealand nonetary system wHh Bretton Woods International Monetary Fund -equirements as provided for in article 15 of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Act. 1948. was given oy Mr F. Langstone (Independent labour. Roskill) in the House of Representatives to-day If not. had a date jeen determined by the contracting parties within which such an agreement must be entered into? Mr Langstone asked ii the Government intended to publish the 'erms of such an agreement and if they would be such as not to interfere with the Government s declared policy of controlling the New Zealand money system so as to avoid Doth nflation and deflation.
