A statement issued with the acounts by the Ministry of Civil Aviaion says the aggregate loss represents decrease of 12.2 per cent, compared rith 1947-48. Th 3 Ministry says: "This reduction i the loss was accompanied bv a subtantial increase on output. Capacity on-miles and revenue ton-miles on ie air transport services showed an '.crease of 32 oer cent., and the pasenger miles flown increased by 20 er cent." The Ministry adds that a further reuction of costs and an improvement f output are expected during the curent year.
