Some of the Fabrics to be shown at Beaths Mannequin Parade of the original British-designed and Britishmade Frocks are silver striped coteilc, faille satins, bengaline, broderie, changeant moire, Corrigal nylon, tie silks (damasks), reversible slipper satin, variant taffeta, nylorip, luisant faille, medallion and contraste brocades. The designers of these actual frocks wore prominent members of the Incorporated Society of London Fashion Designers.

The creator of the silks is Mr Miki Sekers, of whom a London Export Journal says: “Mr Sekers, managing director of West Cumberland Silk Mills, has a vast reputation in the field of fabric design, and he was one of the pioneers who realised the possibilities of fine nylon threads. His fabric collections have always been noted, not only for their accurate fashion forecasts in colour and design, but also for their technical brilliance and originality.”

West Cumberland Silks, as used in the parade, will be on sale in Beaths Dress Goods Section, on thp main floor. Ladies mav have Frocks Modelled and Made at Beaths in these exact Styles if desired, or they may avail themselves of the Free Cutting out Service bv Mrs McLean, using the McCall Pattern Service.
