“I wish people would say what they meant: it would be so much easier to read their letters,” said the Very Rev. J. Lawson Robinson when reading a letter at a meeting of the Christchurch Presbytery. He was referring to the use of “ultimo” instead of using the name of the month. “It is September 16 not the 16th ultimo,” he said.
