There were only three horses in the race, and Monaveen, carrying the top weight, was a hot favourite. Monaveen, who is jointly owned by | the Queen and Princess Elizabeth, finished 15 lengths ahead of Random ' Knight. He was Princess Elizabeth’s sec- I - ond runner. Her first, Astrakhan, finished second at Ascot last Friday. Princess Elizabeth was at Fontwell Park to-day to see Monaveen win.
