GENERAL ELECTION
78 LABOUR CANDIDATES SELECTED SO FAR (New Zealand Press Association.) WELLINGTON. October 11. Three new Labour candidates for the General Election were announced to-day, bringing the total selected to 78. The outstanding seats are Wallace and Western Maori. The new candidates are: Waikato. Mr J. R. Burfitt, aged 35. of Auckland. a builder, who contested the Mount Albert mayoralty at the last municipal elections; Franklin, Mr John Parsons, of Otahuhu. aged 41; Hauraki. Mr Percival Peacock, aged 47. a Pokeno farmer, a former businessman at Mangatawhiri, and a partner in a bookselling firm in Tauranga.
