ANNUAL MEETING A falling off in the demand for properties from former servicemen, indicating that they were gradually being rehabilitated, was reported by the president (Mr L. W. Baker) to the annual meeting of the CanterburyWestland branch of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. Recently he said, it had been more difficult to dispose of houses at New Brighton anc in other outlying districts. Officers were elected as follows president. Mr R. A. Collie; committee, Messrs J. D. Arthur. L. W. Baker. N G. Hillary, C. E. Hoy. G. J. Leech, N H. McCrostie. H. T. Penrose. B. H. Sluis, A. R. Sherris, James Wallace and D. C. Wilson.
