♦ An announcement that tiie Archbishop of Canterbury (the Most Rev*. Dr. G. F. Fisher) would visit New Zealand for the Canterbury Centennial next year was made by the Bishop of Chichester (the Rt. Rev. G. K. Bell) when speaking at a service in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Auckland, yesterday. He said the Archbishop would *rrivi toward the end of next year, probably about December.—(P.A.) The general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand. Ltd., has received cabled advice that Sir Patrick Duff. K.C.8.. K.C.V.0.. formerly British High Commissioner in New Zealand. has been appointed to the board of directors of the bank.—(P.A.)
