VETERANS PLAY AT ASHBURTON

W. P. ANDERSON WINS MAIN EVENT W. P. Anderson (Ashburton), with a score 91, 24—67, won the Veterans’ trophy at the annual veterans’ golf tournament conducted by the Ashburton Golf Club yesterday. S. H. Truman (Ashburton) was the runner-up. The results of the various events were as follows: Best gross score: V. W. Russell (Ashburton), 83. Bogey handicap: W. P. Anderson and L. E.
