R.N.Z.A.F. STATION, WIGRAM
INSPECTION BY GOVERNOR GENERAL
The Governor-General (Sir Bernard Freyberg, V.C.), attended by Squadron Leader B. R. Clapham Squadron Leader G. R. Brabyn, and Flight Lieutenant D. Roberts, visited the R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Wigram, yesterday afternoon.
The official party was received at the main entrance to the camp by a quarter-guard and was led to camp headquarters by motor-cycle escort. The officer commanding the station (Wing Commander A. B. Greenaway) met his Excellency, who was giveh the Royal Salute. He addressed a station parade after inspecting the guard of if" airmen.
The party then made a tour of inspection of the camp by car and were then the guests of the officers’ mess at afternoon tea.
