SIXTEEN CHILDREN KILLED
BUS COLLIDES WITH EXPRESS TRAIN
(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, August 9. Sixteen German children were killed and 21 others Seriously injured last night, when a bus crashed into an express train at Schlesbusch, eight miles north of Cologne. The bus was carrying 80 children home from a summer camp. The level-crossing gates were half lowered when the bus, towing two trailers, lumbered across the line in the path of the Cologne-Altona express. \ ,Many of the children’s parents were awaiting them at the Schlesbusch station.
