“The Ptess” Special Service WELLINGTON, August 9. The weather forecast for Canterbury fc sued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office. Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Situation: a depression is centred near the Chatham Islands. There is an anti-cyclone over the Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m.: light or moderate variable winds. Weather becoming fair generally. Temperatures cool. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is: Light easterly winds. Weather fine and cool.
