DELIVERIES AT HAREWOOD
A protest against the proposed bylaw prohibiting the delivery of groceries to the Harewood settlement was received from the Canterbury Chain Grocery Stores Industrial Union of Employers at the City Council meeting last evening. Members of the union considered that such a by-law would be a restraint on trade and preclude the residents of the settlement from a free selection and delivery of gpods. No recommendation was made by the committee concerned.
