THE OAMARU SEAT
MR T. L. HAYMAN TO BE NATIONAL CANDIDATE (New Zealand Press Association.) OAMARU, May 22. Mr T. L. Hayman, a farmer, of Willowbridge, was selected as the National Party’s candidate for the Oamaru seat at the General Election. • There were five nominees, Messrs T. R. Beatty, a building contractor, of Oamaru, Mr J. B. Chapman, a retired farmer, of Oamaru. Hayman. Dr. A. S. Moody, medical practitioner, Dunedin, and Mr B. A. Todd, a retired farmer, of Goodwin. Mr Hayman has had a long association with the National Party. He has been chairman of the Waim’ate branch since 1940, and is a member of the Dominion council. Apart from his farm. Mr Hayman conducts a large farm contracting business. He is a married man with three children.
