PETS’ PARADE
KETURNEB SERVICEMEN’S FAIR A wide variety of pets was exhibited at the pets’ parade organised bv the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association fair at the King Edward Barracks on Saturday morning. Cats and dogs were hiore prominent than olher pets, which included white rabbits, guinea pigs, a ferret, goldfish, brown lizards, bantams, and pigeons. . Special prizes were awarded as follOWs:—Barrie Hamilton (ponyj, Brian Wells (Samoyede), Robert Gordon (dog and cart), Bryan Jbnes (dog with three pups), David Goodwin (Romney ram), Jeanette Hodge (kitten). After the pabade, a dfemonstratibfi of trtekis was given by Godfrey Wilke, of Omihi, with his sheepdogs.
