LONDON. May »■ Offerings at to-day’s London wool sai® amounted to 18,400 bales, of which bales were from New Zealand. These e eluded a good number of North Isi®***! clips, mostly from the East Coast, several consignments of off-sorts, scoureu on account of growers. The Committee of London WoolbrOK®" reports: “Home trade was again buynw heavily, while Continental competition was again in evidence on a wider scare* Prices for greasy crossbreds were ge n sY _ ally firm on last week’s opening raw»« and there was almost a total clearance of clip wools. Although the demand »» scoured crossbreds was slightly prices obtained were similar to those P® . yesterday. The market for slipes show«« little change." H
