COUNCIL EXPELS CRITIC OF COMMUNISM (Bee. 8 p.m.) ROME, May 21. “The Left-Wing Socialist Party was split again to-day when its executive council expelled Senator Giuseppe Romita. the chief opponent of Mr Pietro Nenni’s pro-Communist policy,” says the British United Press. : The council met to discuss Senator Romita’s published appeal for a new united Socialist movement in Italy. ‘•ft is expected that his expulsion from the Nenni movement will virtually end the Socialists’ power in Italy.”
