Mmmm ! Fether-Flake Fruit Squares
You’ll feel particularly proud of yourself when you take these FetherFlake Fruit Squares out of your oven. Success is assured because the FetherFlake way is the easy way. Here’s how:—
Fruit Mince: 11b raisins; 1 cup sultanas; little lemon peel (if liked); about J teacup orange juice; A teacup brown sugar; some spice and cinnamon mixed in with the sugar. Mix all together, add a little butter, put in double saucepan, stir and simmer for about 20 minutes. Leave to cool. Roll Fether-Flake fairly thin and line sponge roll tin. Spread fruit mince over Fether-Flake and grate a raw apple on top. Put another layer of Fether-Flake on top. Bake in the oven. When cold cut into squares and sprinkle with icing sugar.
