PICTURE BY RUSSELL CLARK
PURCHASE BY SOCIETY OF ARTS
The Council of the Canterbury Society of Arts has decided to purchase a picture by Russell Clark for its permanent collection. Russell Clark was official war artist in the Pacific for some time and the picture is named “Conversation in Noumea.” It is hung in the society’s annual exhibition which is now being held at the Durham Street Art Gallery and which will close at 10 p.m. to-day.
