MINOR FIRES
The Christchurch Fire Brigade was called to two minor tires yesterday. At 10.26 a.m. the brigade was called to premises at 112 Lichfield street, occupied by Collins Quick Lunch Parlours, Ltd., where a small tire had broken out on a veranda. Early in the afternoon the brigade attended a fire in the laundry department of the Sumner School for the Deaf. Damage was done-inside the roof of the building, but the brigade prevented the fire from spreading.
