HALFBRED WOOL PRICES The table below gives a comparison of the prices paid for halfbred wools at the first and second Christchurch sales this year. It shows clearly that qualities below 56’s were the worst sufferers, a trend which was confirmed at the Dunedin sale. Prices have come back substantially, but they are still profitable, and are no doubt welcomed by farmers whose returns for fine wool during the war were distinctly moderate.
