PLANE CRASH IN HONG KONG
23 PERSONS KILLED (Rec. 7 p.m.) HONG KONG, Feb. 24. AU 23 persons aboard—l 9 passenger* and four members of the crew—were killed this morning when a Cathay Pacific Airline DC3 airliner from Manila crashed into the hills at the eastern extremity of Hong Kong. The crash occurred when the airliner attempted to fly over the Hills m a very thick mist before approaching the Kaitak airfield. The aeroplane caught fire when it hit the hillside.
