DELAY IN LODGING WAGE CLAIM
\ JEXPLANA’fjON TO BE GIVEN (P.A.) AUCKLAND, February 24. A special meeting of the Auckland Trades Council next week will hear an explanation by the secretary of the New Zealand Federation of Labour (Mr K. McL. Baxter) of the delay in lodging the recent application for a; general wage increase. The policy of the national executive of the federation has been severely criticised in the Auckland Trades CojinciL There was uproar at a meeting last Thursday, when the question ! ?ras under discussion.
