“The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON. February 23. The weauiei forecast for Canterbury Issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Situation: there is a deep depression south-east of New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.: fresh south to south-west winds; weather cloudy and cool, with showery periods. Further outlook: weather improving slowly. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of he Sou*’ Island is:— Moderate southerlies gradually prevailing; weather improving from the south and becoming fair; temperatures moderate.
