RIFT IN LABOUR PARTY DENIED
A denial that the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) and the Minister of Finance (Mr Nash) had been over-ruled by the Left Wing group in the Labour caucus, was given bj’ Mr . Clyde Carr. M.P., yesterday. He was addressing the Timaru Labour Representation Committee about the business transacted at a recent caucus. The committee unanimously passed the following resolution: “That this Labour Representation Committee repudiates any suggestion of a split within the ranks of our movement, and asserts that as a movement, we were never stronger or more determined to fight the coming election as a unified party, loyal to our leaders and to the movement generally.”
