RETAILERS’ SCHOOL FOR EXECUTIVES

From Our Own Reporter TIMARU, February 22. Plans for training and assisting junior executives were discussed at today’s session’of the annual conference of the New Zealand Retailers* Federation. “Earlier in the month I attended the summer school for junior executives held at Massey College.” said Mr A. C. Seivewright (Wanganui), “and came away convinced that this new venture on the part of the federation is a tangible effort, not only to equip our executives of the future, but also to combat the insidious forces which endanger our way of life. I would

like to see a scholarship founded to enable us to send at least one outstanding student to Australia each year for further experience.” concluded Mr Seivewright. Four delegates each contributed £25 to form the nucleus of a scholarship fund, and the matter was referred to a committee for further action .
