RESCUE OF THREE CHILDREN
CORONER PRAISES GIRL (P.A.) AUCKLAND. February 21. For saving three children from drowning at Takapuna Beach on Saturday afternoon, Patricia Lorraine Pridham, aged 13, was to-day congratulated by the Coroner (Mr C. W. Lopdell), at an inquest into the death of Norman James Taylor, aged eight. “You are deserving of very high commendation for your presence of mind and courage,” said Mr Lopdeil. “The incident will be reported to the proper quarters.” A verdict of accidental drowning was returned.
