LAKE TEKAPO STRIKE
NEGOTIATIONS FOR SETTLEMENT ENGINEERS TO MEET WORKERS (P.A.) TIMARU, Feb. 21. Negotiations for the settlement of the dispute at the Lake Tekapo hydroelectric development works are expected to be held at Lake Tqkapo tomorrow between senior engineers of the Public Works Department and representatives of the New Zealand Workers’ Union. All members of the union were addressed to-day at Lake Tekapo by Mr W. Wallace, the national president. The strike started at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday and only essential services have Been maintained since.
