FORMER SERVICEWOMEN
The first meeting for the year of the former servicewomen’s section of the Returned Services’ Association was held in the Returned Services’ Association lounge. Sister J. R. Okey expressed the sympathy of members with Mrs Peggy Sopp. whose husband was killed recently. - The main item of business was the election of two delegates to a proposed Dominion conference of former servicewomen of the Returned Services’ Association to -be held probably in Wellington during April. Mr H. E. Batchelor, president of the R.S.A., gave details of the proposed . fair in aid of hospital comforts. It was decided that former servicewomen would staff the ice-cream and soft drinks stall.
