RETIREMENT FROM PUBLIC LIFE SOUGHT LONDON. February 18. The Argentine Army is reported to have increased its pressure on the President of Argentina (General Peron) to get the President’s wife to retire from public life. • Reports from Buenos Aires say that the Argentine Army has declared
outright that either Mrs Peron must leave Argentina altogether, preferably for Europe, or that she must retire into private life. General Peron is not receptive to }the approaches of the Army, however find he has threatened to resign if the Army continues with its attempts to Push his wife into the background.
