MAORI CHILD MISSING
(P.A.) WANGANUI, February 19 The police are dragging the Wanganui river and searching the countryside for a four-year-old Maori girl Patsy Tahu. who has been missing since early on Thursday afternoon It was thought that she had fallen into the river; but a girl answering her description was seen near Peat Park on Thursday afternoon. Peat Park is some distance from the river and in the opposite direction to her home. A thorough search of scrub and bush in the vicinity failed to show any trace of the missing girl. A dog. which had been with her, returned home late on Thursday afternoon. The river is still being dragged.
