INVESTIGATION OF “DIARIES”
OVERSEA ITEMS IN SOME NEWSPAPERS “The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON, February 20. On the suggestion of the Christchurch branch, the national conference of the United Nations Association in Wellington decided to have research work undertaken into the nature £nd influence on international affairs contained in London and New York “diaries” published in New Zealand metropolitan papers. * The Christchurch delegate said that from the observations of one of the members of its branch who recently returned from England, it appeared that much of the material in letters from overseas correspondents was opinion voiced on insufficient knowledge of facts. It is intended to have the research work done by a university student in an honours thesis.
