Clerical Assistance for Headmasters. assistance is to be given to headmasters of grade six and seven schools, normal schools, and all intermediate and district high schools of grade five and higher according to adjice received from the Department of ■Education at a meeting of the Canterbury Education Board. The assistants will work for three hours each day. at 3s 4d an hour. The board had "gotten to the Minister of Education <Mr T. H. McCombs) expressing disappointment that the assistance did not apply to grade 5C and 5D schools, tn which headmasters were also engaged in class-teaching duties, said the chairman (Mr A. E.
