CHRISTCHURCH GIRL DROWNED IN N.S.W.
MISSIONARY COLLEGE STUDENT (N.Z.P. A.—Reuter— Copyright) SYDNEY. February 17. Kathleen Barlass. aged 15, of Christchurch. New Zealand, was drowned while swimming in the Colo river near Windsor. New South Wales. She had been in Australia for three weeks, and was staying at the Hebron Missionary College. Lower Portland, where she was studying missionary work. In the late afternoon she went swimming with another pupil, aged nine. When she found herself out of her depth she called to the other girl, who went for help. The. bpdy was recovered after 25 minutes. Miss Barlass was the daughter of Mr D. Barlass and the late Mrs N Barlass. of Christchurch.
