TUESDAY (Before Mr RaymOnd Ferner, S.M.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY Andrew O’Neil, a painter, aged 35. was fined £3 on a charge of being drunk and disorderly in a public place. Sub-Inspector G. H. L. Holt said that accused had been evicted from an hotel and had shaped up to the porter. When a police sergeant intervened, accused threw his coat at hitn and again shaped up to the porter. When the fine was imposed, accused asked if he could appeal against the sentence. He was told he could make application later. ADJOURNED Robert Lindsay Ayling, a piano tuner, aged 21. pleaded guilty to stealing a quantity of goods valued at £6 8s 2d, the property of Sedley Wells, Ltd. The case was adjourned until February 14 for a report by the Probation Officer. Lockwood £l3 8s 6d forthwith, in default 14 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended as long as defendant pays 15s a fortnight. JUDGMENT FOR DEFENDANT Judgment was given for the defendant in a defended action in which W. S. Peters claimed, possession of a chattel valued at £24 from E. E. Edmonds.
