DISCIPLINING OF STUDENTS
UNIVERSITY TO AMEND REGULATIONS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, January 26. The Senate of the University of New Zealand has instructed its solicitors to draft an amendment to its regulations for the disciplining of students. A special committee reported at to-day’s session of the Senate that it was of the opinion that the University should have general power to discipline students and examinees for misconduct. Misconduct, it was stated, could be defined as meaning any conduct tending. in the opinion of the Senate, to bring discredit on the University, including a breach of any Statute of the University or its regulations. The report was adopted.
