PRINCE’S BETROTHAL
There was a grand party in Copenhagen recently at the. home of a wealthy dealer in building' materials. The party was to celebrate the engagement of Prince Flemming, 26-year-old son of Prince Axel, to Miss Ruth Nielson,*the merchant’s daugh-
ter. If the marriage goes through and Prince Flemming is determined it shall, then he must forfeit his right cf succession to the Danish throne. If he has any regrets over what love will cost him, there is consolation in his position. He is second cousin once removed to Kling Frederik. Besides his father, his brother Prince George, an attache at the London Embassy, stands before him in succession. Prince Flemming has known Miss Nielson for some years. They met while they were at the same college outside Copenhagen. They are also near neighbours. The girl’s father lives just across the road from Prince Axel.
