SCOTTISH CHEQUE FOR FRENCH MINERS
PAYMENT ANNOUNCED (Rec. 7 p.m.) PARIS. December 14. Mr Celestin Blas, the French Communist miners’ leader, said to-day that his union had received payment in francs of the cheque of £lOOO sent to it by the Scottish Miners’ Union. Earlier Mr Blas had claimed that Lloyds Bank had delayed payment of the cheque, which was issued in London on November 19.
