NEW GRANT TO AUSTRIA
TOTAL U.S. ALLOTMENT NOW £62,500,000
(Rec. 7 p.m.) VIENNA, December 14. A new direct European Recovery Programme allotment of £4.500,000 has been authorised for Austria. This makes Austria’s total E.R.P. allotment about £62,500,000. The new grant is designed to allow an uninterrupted flow of goods to Austria until the American Congress appropriates funds for additional allotments to bring deliveries up to the programme total by June 30, 1949.
