GOVERNMENT TO SET UP STORES
(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, December 15. The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Sir Stafford Cripps) told the House of Commons that the British Government was to spend £187,500 in the current financial year on setting up department stores in various countries overseas to promote the sale of British goods. I
