PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Malvern Electric Power Board to be held at 2 p.m. on the 17th day of December, 1948, at the Board’s Office. Darfield, the Special Order carried at a Special Meeting of the Board held on Friday, 19th November. 1948, will be confirmed. The Special Order is pursuant to Section 15 of the Finance (2) Act, 1936, under which it is proposed to raise the sum cf twenty thousand pounds for the further reticulation of the Malvern Electric Power District, under the Rural Electrical Reticulation Scheme. The sanction of the Local Government Loans Board to the proposed lean has been obtained. The security rate to be pledged in interest payments and Sinking Fund install ments on such loan will be a Special Rate of Seven-fortieths of one penny in the pound on the ratetable value of all rateable property within the Malvern Electric Power District. Copies of the Special Order may be seen at the County Offices, Darfield and Hororata; at the office of Mr C. O. Spiller. Christchurch; and at the Board’s office. Darfield, during the usual business hours. A poll of ratepayers on the proposal is required to be taken if 5 per cent, of the Ratepayers so demand in writing. Any person having any objection to the loan being raised without a prior poll of Ratepayers is called upon to submit the same in writing to the said Malvern Electric Power Board not later than the day proceeding the said Special Meeting.
