W.E.A. SUMMER SCHOOL

84 STUDENTS TO ATTEND Applications to attend the Workers’ Educational Association’s summer school, to be held from December 27 to January 5, have been received from 75 adults and nine children. Eleven of the applicants are from the West Coast and nine from' Nelson. Students at the school, which will be held at the School for the Deaf, Sumner, will attend lectures and group discussions in the mornings and will take part in cultural and social functions in the evenings. Afternoons will be set aside for recreation.

The main lecture topic will be “Problems of the Pacific/’ and the principal subject for group discussion will be "The Way to Industrial Peace.” The opening address at the school will be given by the Minister of Education (Mr T, H. McCombs).
